Great points as always from Aaron. I have not seen the FANGS moniker before, and have to say that I like it.
This also raises (for me) questions about whether or not there is room for new tech startups given the way that the “FANGS” buy out, develop out, or “aqui-hire” new startups and ideas, and eliminate possible challenges to their dominance.
Finally, I agree with the “informed consent” question that Aaron posits. As I’m typing this, I’m listening to the Facebook call from this week with Zuckerberg. It’s almost an hour, but it’s really intriguing listening given current events, especially for those of us that have been following this story over the last couple of years.
